7000 Series Coil Packers

A PROVEN INVESTMENT FOR CONSERVATION FARMING

The K-Line 7000 Series Modular Coil Packer has proven to be one of the most effective means of packing a seed bed to improve germination. Moisture is retained through the firming and sealing of the seed bed, and the pressing gives optimum seed-to-soil contact even in the presence of trash and stubble. 7000 Series Coil Packers condition the soil so it is friable and receptive to additional rainfall. They also leave a herringbone pattern to control wind and water erosion. These two features help to prevent the ‘crusting’ and ‘washing’ or ‘scaring’ commonly associated with the solid drum and roller.

Used in conservation and conventional tillage systems, the Coil Packers are a great advantage when used for seed bed preparation, seed establishment and stubble management. They can be supplied in various configurations from 4’ – 80’

  • Soil conditioning – soil levelled and firmed for good seed to soil contact – improved germination
  • Moisture retention – firming and sealing of seed bed conserves valuable moisture
  • Stubble management – residue knockdown for faster breakdown of stubble
  • Establishment of small seed crops
  • Herringbone pattern left by packers to reduce wind and water erosion

7100 Series Triple Hitch Coil Packer Unit

The 7100 Series Triple Hitch Coil Packer Unit is a simple system that allows towing of three 7000 Series Coil Packers in tandem, ideal for use behind a seed drill up to 6.4m (21’) wide. Pins and towing points are provided for towing the three coils ‘inline’ for narrow transport width.

  • Heavy duty construction
  • UC208-24S bearings
  • Adjustable length drawbar available
  • Available in widths up to 6.4m (21’)

7700 Series Hydraulic Coil Packer Unit

The 7700 Series Hydraulic Coil Packer Unit provides the benefit of 7000 Series Coil Packers while keeping length to a minimum and lifting hydraulically for ease of transporting. The coils have two flexible joints to allow following of ground contours and the herringbone ground pattern helps to control wind and water erosion. The 7700 Hydraulic Coil Packer Unit is a versatile implement that can be used behind a seed drill or as a stand-alone unit.

  • Hydraulic lift for transport
  • Heavy duty construction
  • UC208-24S bearings
  • 3” x 8” cylinders x 2
  • 14” Tyres x 4
  • Adjustable length drawbar available
  • Implement Jack – standard
  • Available in widths up to 6.4m (21’)

K250 Series Coil Packer Bar

  • Preparing seed beds
  • Soil Conditioning – soil levelled and firmed for good seed-to-soil contact and improved germination
  • Moisture retention – firming and sealing of seed bed conserves valuable moisture
  • Establishment of small seed crops
  • Herringbone pattern left by packers to reduce erosion
  • Soil left receptive to follow-up rains
  • Wing up construction for ease of transport
  • Rugged heavy duty construction, 100×100 SHS
  • 2 – 4″ x 36″ Wing Lift Cylinders
  • 2 – 4″ x 12″ Wheel Lift Cylinders
  • 1 1/2″ induction hardened wing hinge pins
  • Large flotation tyres on centre section (400 – 60 – 15.3)
  • Heavy duty axles (3250kg)

This unit consists of 7000 Series 45x45mm heavy duty coil packers, mounted with 4-directional pivots. This makes it ideal for constant soil packing in undulating soil types.
